Avon
Fire Brigade have appointed Working Interiors
as Design Consultants for a programme of refurbishment
schemes at their HQ building at Temple Back.
The
programme started with a major overhaul of the
original Reception Area. This has been extended
and developed from a tired “dim and grim”
space to a new bright public access area, suitable
for the 21st Century.
The
scheme involved moving the existing front wall
forward to realign and resize the front elevation,
behind a new glass curtain walled frontage. Working
Interiors obtained planning permissions and building
regulations approval on behalf of Avon Fire Brigade
and then proceeded to implement the fit out resulting
in the series of photos shown.
Works
consisting of general building, including all
glazing and external works, flooring, partitions,
ceilings, lighting, a bespoke reception desk,
seating, furniture, supply of electrical and network
wiring, display systems and external and internal
signage.
Kevin
Pearson, Chief Fire Officer said: “It has
transformed our relations with the public. Everyone
walking or driving by can see us at work and receive
a much more inviting impression”
